The refurbishment will see a significant financial investment bringing the venue up to date, to ensure that it appeals to the contemporary market while retaining its strong sense of identity.
Glamorous has always been at the heart of Birmingham's gay community. In previous times called The Windmill and then Partners, it was taken over in 2015 by local businessmen Matthew Eason and Sam Hibbert.
Venue owner Matthew said: "Glamorous has been open for several decades under many different names, and Sam and myself are proud to be giving it a fresh look for 2017.
"We're giving it everything it possibly needs to ensure that it stands the test of time and is still here in the decades to come."
The refurbished venue's big reveal takes place on Bank Holiday Sunday, 30 April.
The event will feature RuPaul's Drag Race’s 'UK Ambassador' The Vivienne, who will officially launch the all-new Glamorous Birmingham.
