Blackpool Pride had it's first event in May 2006. Each year it has got bigger and better. Blackpool Pride Festival is a FREE event but this year we have also have a VIP area.

When we went it was raining, ofc... and there was no one else there! Well that's not quite true, there was 3 lesbians in a tent who looked more shocked to see us than we were to see them. I can't say more because it was none existent when we went but maybe we just caught it on a bad year. Anyway we hurried off to one of the gay bars (which has since closed), the electric went out in the pub/bar and everyone just sat there in the dark. Someone forgot to pay the electric bill? When the lights came on about 30 mins later there was a puddle of sick in front of the bar.. it's probably for the best it closed. However having said all that we had a great time at the amusements and sea-life centre and some of the other bars were okay.
best thing: lots of other things to do if need be
worst thing: it was empty, and cold.
